The Irish Franchise Exhibition: A wealth of new business opportunities for Ireland

All those wanting to own and run their own business can explore the benefits of franchising at The Irish Franchise Exhibition, Main Hall, Royal Dublin Society (RDS), 23-24 November 2007. As Ireland’s premier franchise event, it will provide aspiring entrepreneurs with a comprehensive overview of the industry, and how to become a successful business owner through buying into an established franchise concept in this exciting, growing market.

Leading franchises will be at the event, offering opportunities from a cross-section of business sectors, including property and development, food and drink, health and fitness, cleaning and printing companies. Exhibiting companies include BB’s Coffee & Muffins, Lasertech, MRI Worldwide, pristine.ie and The Streat Franchising.

Business seminars

Alongside the selection of leading franchise companies, the event will also feature a free seminar programme that runs across both days of the show. These sessions will not only offer expert advice on the key aspects of franchising from some of the industry’s most inspiring personalities, but will also provide valuable guidelines on how to develop and strengthen an existing business.

Brody Sweeney, Chairman of O’Briens Sandwich Bars will present a keynote address entitled: “Starting a business – views from an entrepreneur”.
John Green, Chairman of the Irish Franchise Association, will present an introductory presentation for franchisees. He will offer advice on franchising for beginners, such as how to chose the right franchise, as well as highlighting some of the personality traits and challenges that starting a new franchise business requires.

Visitors will be able to have their business plans reviewed by a specialist relationship manager from the Ulster Bank who will be facilitating a Business Plan Clinic.

Growing Your Own Business Showcase & Conference

The Irish Franchise Exhibition incorporates Growing Your Own Business Showcase & Conference, which runs alongside the exhibition and provides advice on all aspects of running a business from financing and strategic planning to sales and marketing.

Speakers within the free programme include Tricia Murphy, Strategic Network Consultant at TIG Alliance who will address networking and the importance of building successful business relationships while Vanessa Tierney, MD of SOS School of Sales, will discuss sales and marketing strategies that can help boost a business.
